Current Projects

CHEETAH my conservation drama about the survival of the critically endangered Asiatic Cheetah is currently in Pre-production with Bedlam Film Productions LLP. British Iranian director Roxana Vilk has helped me lift the script to a new level of authenticity, as has our scientific and cultural support group. I offer my heartfelt thanks to my producer Gareth Ellis-Unwin and my agent Lucy Fawcett who have encouraged me throughout this process.

The Asiatic Cheetah is so rare now as to be almost impossible to see. Thus last Xmas, with my husband Nigel Hughes, the film’s Executive Producer, I travelled to Tanzania to search for its cousin the African Cheetah. On the vast plains of Serengeti we were blessed with close encounters beyond our wildest hopes - bringing new inspiration and determination to my efforts.

Meanwhile....on the back burner is TESHUVAH (THE RETURN), a theatre piece that delves into my shrouded Jewish family history. I look forward to progressing this when there are gaps in my CHEEETAH schedule.

Also in progress, my next screenplay which is very loosely based on my rainforest drama TIDAL WAVES. Only the backdrop remains the same while our new protagonist is a young woman, Vero, who leads the fight to protect her village from the disastrous pollution caused by a newly opened Copper Mine. The working title is RAINFOREST WOMAN.
